Songs for the Shower: A project
I'm not here to romanticize the simpler time of mixing electricity with indoor plumbing, but I do miss the deep knowledge I developed about the music I was listening to at the time
all em dashes are my own
all em dashes are my own

If you know the movie, you know that I was shown things no young boy should have to see.

My boogie baby, now the world ain't no fairy tale. And it’s ran by some rich, white, scary males.

In 1989, despite the existence of Paul's Boutique, the Beasties were largely seen as a novelty act. 3rd Bass was stepping to the A.M. and claiming their white supremacy (so to speak).

It's warm, welcoming, and exactly the sort of thing that should be playing when I pull up to my home after any godforsaken length of time away from it.

I don't have much history with the tunes in today's playlist. I'd first heard the song "Perhaps, Perphaps, Perhaps" in 1996, buried deep on side 2 of Cake's Fashion Nugget. I liked it alright.
